Great food. Good music. Plenty of sunshine. The makings of a perfect summer weekend, right? That’s exactly what our staycation at The Four Seasons Resort and Club in Los Colinas was. We spent a couple of days in Irving soaking up the luxury of The Four Seasons and dancing to Post Malone for fun mini girls’ trip. And to think, we only had to make a short drive up the highway to get there!
The suburbs of Dallas continue to blossom, and Irving is now home to an entertainment power house – the Toyota Music Factory. With over a dozen restaurants and bars, an open pavilion, and easy access from the highway, this venue is ideal for music and food-lovers alike. So many awesome shows coming up, too!
Those who know us know we have a diverse taste in music. Exhibit A: we went to Leon Bridges at the Toyota Music Factory one weekend and saw Post Malone there the next! TOTALLY different shows and vibes, but equally as fun.
For Leon Bridges, we caught an Uber from Downtown, ate dinner at the venue (fried chicken fingers and wine – fancy), and were back in Dallas by 10pm. For our recent trip to Irving, we extended it a bit and checked into a suite at The Four Seasons. While the entire property is gorgeous and there are plenty of fabulous rooms, we highly suggest the Pool View Villa Rooms. They offer the perfect summer oasis with a little more privacy, open balconies and easy access to the pool.
After checking in, we headed to LAW, one of the on-site restaurants, for sips and bites. The deviled eggs were SO good.
It was a short Uber trip from the Four Seasons to the Toyota Music Factory where we decided on pizza at Grimaldi’s (duh) for dinner. The great thing about this area is that if one restaurant has a long wait, there are a selection of others to visit for a pre-show meal. AND don’t miss the popsicles at Pop Factory. The sangria one for real tastes like a cold glass of sangria.
The show was amazing! I don’t think we sat down once during his whole set! Seriously one of our new favorite live-music venues.
The next day called for a little R&R before heading back to Dallas. Room service breakfast enjoyed on the patio. Massages at the spa. And, relaxing by the pool… drink in hand. This cute little copper pineapple held the most delicious frose for two!
IDEAL. Between the restaurants, room service, spa, salon, fitness center, pool AND golf course – there’s really no need to leave the property for a well-rounded vacation (or staycation). The incredible service is just the cherry on top of it all.
