September is a very confusing time for Southerners. Everyone keeps talking about this “fall” thing, and we’re still in the dead heat of summer for most of the month. But, we all pretend we understand this transitional season, and embrace all things autumn despite what the weather says. Thankfully, there’s been a recent chill in the air (meaning less than 100 degrees), and we’re beyond excited to embrace the new season’s flavors with some of our fave recipes floating the web.
Around this time, it’s like Pumpkin Spice falls from the sky and sprinkles itself on just about everything. I’ve personally never understood this because I genuinely don’t know that many people who reeallly love pumpkin pie. Do you? To me, it’d make more sense to make Bourbon Pecan or Caramel Apple the flavor of the season. Starbucks, I’ll be waiting for that Bourbon Pecan Spice Latte.
To celebrate the start of the season AND Oktoberfest (!!!), which we’re seriously depressed we’re not attending this year, we whipped up these pretzel sticks with Broma Bakery’s beer cheese dip. Because, when your parents keep sending you pictures of them drinking beers in Munich, it’s totally okay to drown your feelings in a bowl of cheese dip. No proper pretzel-cheese combo is complete without a stein of beer.
What are y’all’s favorite recipes to satisfy your fall feels? We’re feeling:
