Nine times out of ten, Lexi and I would prefer to grab a pizza for 10 bucks, a bottle of wine, and call it a night, rather than going to a fancy AF dinner somewhere. Partially because we’re poor, and maybe partially because we’re a tad lazy after working all week (and weekend). However, we’ve recently started a new tradition – Treat Yo’ Self weekends every other month. We take this time to do things we’ve been wanting to do or spend a little extra cash on something we normally wouldn’t. Activities range from dining out at a new restaurant, and most recently, Tea at TASCHEN, the swanky library inside the Joule downtown.
Welcome to another edition of the Kelsie-Wants-To-Move-Everywhere-She-Visits travel diary. This time? It’s London (again).
Happy Monday, y’alllll! To make this Monday less Monday-y (definitely a phrase), we’re talking grilled cheeses and WINE. Two things guaranteed to turn your day right around and help you get through the week.
Welp, another month has come and gone, and I still feel like it’s 2015. We’re another month closer to summer, which means high temps and lots of frozen margs. Also, festival season is in full swing, and we’re lov-ing it. Take advantage of the (hopefully!) Springy, perfect weather this month in Dallas by filling up your social schedule with these fun events:

Combine the words “cocktail” and “dinner,” and you’re sure to catch our attention. So its no surprise we thoroughly enjoyed Urban Rio‘s recent monthly cocktail dinner. We ate and drank our way through a Texas-themed menu and, in a surprising turn of events, discovered we may like whiskey after all! Not to mention, were reminded to visit the welcoming restaurants of the suburbs that we grew up loving. [Read more…]
I think almost every other day we hear about new restaurants opening in Dallas, and it’s sometimes hard to keep up with them all. When we heard about Matchbox opening up in Preston Hollow Village, we were eager to try, because we’d heard such good things about its flagship on the East Coast.
Ready for the easiest and most delicious meal you’ll have this week? Good. Once the chicken is done in the crockpot, this comes together in about 20 minutes. No need to run down the street to Chipotle for your burrito bowls anymore.
A favorite Texan pastime is sitting on a patio drinking a marg and munching on chips n’ queso. Maybe we’re a bit partial, but we’re proud to say Dallas is home to some of the best margaritas out there. Frozen, on the rocks, salt, no salt, top-shelf or house – however you like it, Dallas has you tequila-lovers covered. With patio season approaching and National Margarita Day coming up, (although that may be every day in this city) we’ve rounded up some of our favorite Dallas margs.
Having lived in Dallas (and Texas) the majority of my life, the margarita is a staple in mine and Lexi’s routine. Sunny day? Let’s go have a marg. Long day at work? Let’s definitely go have a marg (or two). I’m pretty sure a margarita is the answer to all of life’s questions, especially in Dallas, which all of you can thank for inventing the frozen margarita. You can find the home of the frozen marg and more of our local favorites in our round-up of cant-miss Dallas margaritas.
