No matter your current relationship status, I think we can all agree everyone LOVES a reason to eat, drink and celebrate. Whether you’re single as can be, crazy in love, or bitter from a break-up – Dallas bars and restaurants have something to fit your needs this Valentine’s Day.
We’re teaming up with our girl Susie of Susie Drinks Dallas to host a little soiree at Checkered Past Winery on Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. Join us at this seriously cool wine pub for live music, door prizes, drink specials, deals on bites, and of course some mixing & mingling. Bring your Valentine or your wingman/wingwoman! We’ll be there dancing with champs in hand.
If you’ve never attended a Deep Ellum Wine Walk – the time is now. Saturday is shaping up to be an ideal winter day in Texas: sunny and 65, the perfect weather to stroll through Deep Ellum sipping mimosas with your boo (or bestie). Purchase a $10 special edition mimosa glass and pop into participating venues for in-store events and special promotions.
Max’s Wine Dive Valentine Weekend Specials
For $65 a person, Max’s Wine Dive will serve a pre-fix three-course dinner Feb. 12 – 14 from 6 – 10 p.m each night. The menu features a surf and turf special with a filet and lobster tail and finishes on a sweet note with chocolate mousse.
Bowl & Barrel “Shred Your Ex” Party
Taylor Swift would totally RSVP to this party. If you’re reeling from a recent breakup, grab your girls and head to Bowl & Barrel on V-Day from 6 – 10 p.m. for a free drink and entrée. Up the ante and bring a pic of your ex to shred, and they’ll throw in an extra free drink! Calling all the single ladies.
The iconic downtown hotel invites lovers and friends to indulge in an exclusive “In the Valley of Romance,” four-course wine dinner on Feb. 13 from 7 – 10 p.m. The evening is priced at $135/per person and includes a pre-fix menu paired with a selection of premium Napa Valley wines.
Whiskey Cake Plano
One of our favorite farm-to-table spots in the burbs is catering to both couples and singles this weekend with a variety of specials. From Feb. 12 – 14, Whiskey Cake will offer a Sweethearts Menu featuring a Redfish entree, classic red velvet cake and an “Addicted to Love” Sazerac cocktail. Then on Feb. 15, the restaurant is paying homage to Singles Awareness Day with a $9 “Foolish Games” cocktail and its new $5 Happy Hour Bar bites.
Pizza & Champagne at Greenville Avenue Pizza
Uh, duh. You and your pizza-loving beau can split a heart-shaped pizza with two mini bottles of champagne on Feb. 14 for $30. You say your significant other doesn’t like pizza & champagne? Dump ’em and go to GAPco. on Feb. 15 for broken heart-shaped pizza and two mini bottles of champagne for the same price. Share with a friend or treat yo’ self.
Brunch at The Standard Pour
It’s no secret we love us some TSP brunch, and this Sunday you could score a complimentary mimosa by mentioning the ladies of Dallasites101 to your server. Because honestly…free bubbly > box of chocolates.
If none of the above jazz you, we’ve got 12 more date ideas on Thrillist that should provide some inspiration.
No matter what you decide to do, hopefully your Valentine’s Day doesn’t turn out like one of these Worst Date Stories From Dallas Bartenders.
